Show me the moneyGetting paid is what any business is ultimately all about. It’s all well and good to talk about user experience and creating a friendly environment, but at the end of the day, no matter how great your fan pages and websites are, if you aren’t making money, you don’t have a business.

When I was a teenager, I worked in a small corner grocery store, that served the neighborhood and I’ll always remember one of the things the owner said to me. “You can’t sell from an empty cart.” That’s as true advice today, as it was back then and always will be true.

So, with this sage advice in mind, now’s a good time to learn how to fill that cart with the types of products and services that your fans will want to pay you for.

  • The importance of getting their best email address and especially for the buyers of your products. Your email list will become your most valuable asset over time as your business grows.
